If a passport or identity card is lost or stolen, take the following steps:
- Contact DocStop on +32 251 821 23 or 00800 2123 2123 (24h/24h, 7d/7d). More info on checkdoc.be
- Report the loss to the embassy using this form (NL, FR, DE)
- In case of theft, report it to the local police and deliver the declaration of theft to the embassy
Are you registered in the consular registers?
You can request a new passport or identity card.
Are you not registered in the consular registers but live in Norway or Iceland?
You must first register in the consular registers before you can apply for a new passport or identity card.
Are you a tourist?
You can apply for a provisional passport during a personal visit to the embassy ON APPOINTMENT in Oslo or the honorary consulate in Reykjavik. ALWAYS contact the embassy first for more information.
Provisional passports are always issued within embassy opening hours, except in emergencies.
The possibility of obtaining a provisional passport through the honorary consulate in Reykjavik depends on the availability of the honorary consul.
